Whole-neighborhood planning and mitigation efforts will be discussed, including Community Wildfire Protection Plans, Firewise neighborhoods, and funding options. Leaders from neighborhoods with experience in wildfire mitigation will share information on developing neighborhood plans and maintaining community efforts.

This free information day offers homeowners and community groups a choice of two focus areas on two dates.
Learn to evaluate and improve wildlfire risk on individual properties and common spaces; and build and maintain neighborhood wildfire risk reduction plans and projects. Some presenters include: National Weather Service fire weather forecaster; local fire agencies, Colorado Forest Service, Firewise neighborhood leaders, wildland fire crew members, fire zone risk assessment trainers, risk reduction experts, mitigation contractors, and more. for May 12th date in Monument, please let us know by your ticket choice whether you plan to attend  the free training or just visut the educational exhibits.
